Where did all the buildings go? :) This is a lovely landscape and I do see a town way over on the other side but is that a submarine on the right? It looks like the top of one. The beach area is a bit dark to me, the contrast is slightly off compared to the sky. It looks like a lovely area.

This is a lovely shot overall, the clarity is wonderful, the DOF is fantastic. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the perspective, one moment the building looks like it's about to fall on you and the next it's about to fall away, which actually is kind of cool! The flowers are distracting on the bottom, a tighter crop would have gotten you another point from me. :)

WOW! The song, "Blinded by the light" comes to mind when I view this shot! ;) Where did I put those shades so I can sing, "I wear my sunglasses at night" :)

Okay, enough bad song references, on to the shot. This is a very interesting shot, very busy, lots of color, lots of light, this works both for you and against you. The colors, the headlights and taillights are wonderful but the street lights have become distracting because of the prolonged exposure. To bad you couldn't get the city to turn them off for you :) I'm raising my original score by at least 4 more points.

And what a lovely view it is! Some day I will get over there, heck only 6 hours away now! ;)

The shot is cropped well, the center of attention, the Empire State Building, I believe, stands out and brings you right into the shot. The clarity and sharpness is wanting and must have been difficult with the distance you were working with. Also the trees on the left, while adding that splash of color are a bit distracting, maybe just a slightly tighter crop?

I didn't score very high on this one because the overall quality of the shot left me wanting. I like the idea and the cropping is very good, including the Selver sign showing what is to come but the clarity and colors of the shot leave me wanting a bit. I can tell by the sky that nature wasn't on your side for lighting so I won't dock you a whole lot for that :)

Ahhhhhh, the quiet beach, must be early in the morning for it to be so quiet, or is it later in the evening? Hard to tell :)

This is a very peaceful shot and does lend a certain air of urban, very slight but there. The use of negative space on the top though hurts you a bit for me, if it was cropped a little tighter there and the color seems off also, not sure if I really like it or not. The DOF is pretty good considering the amount of land you were covering but the forefront could be a tad sharper. Raising my score by at least 3 points.

This shot got a low score from me in the beginning because when I first glanced at it I saw fuzz and lots of it. Too much light, too busy, too, too, too. But coming back and taking more time to look at the shot, it's not really fuzz but the lights and the time of exposure which actually works very well, it adds a sense of a dreamlike state to the shot for me. Also the colors are very vibrant and the flow of the bridge is very nice. The only other little thing that jumps at me is the tree on the right, if the angle could have been slightly different or the crop, this would have scored a 9 or 10 with me.

I originally scored this shot very low and coming back to it and looking at it more closely I think I can tell you why. I like the concept, the sense of urban is very strong in this shot but the shadow cuts the picture and throws it off balance to me and the wires coming off the building to the right are very distracting. Maybe from a different angle, a different crop and this would have scored much higher for me. I am raising the score a few points from the original one I set but can't go too much higher. Sorry.

Hahaha, very cute concept on the challenge. I love it. The clarity of the shot is wonderful, you can see each little cog and part inside the watch, no clare on the front and you can tell you kept the crystal on because of the small magnified area on the top. My only problem with the shot is the left side, it looks to bright compared to the right for my taste, if the light was more balanced this would have gotten a 10 right off the bat, as is, I'm starting with an 8.

I really like this shot, the clouds just above the roof of the far building are posing just for you, right? ;-) The only thing that jumped at me was the awning of the front building at first and then the lamp post but looking closer I see now they make a wonderful framing for the clouds and balance each other out very nicely.
