Red and Crosses

This is a wonderful idea with the different crosses, I like the DOF on this shot, bringing your attention to the front cross. The cutting off of the top of the back cross hurts a bit and the strip of blue on the right is distracting to me. The border does work well. I started at a 6 on this, am going to a 7

Very nice, good capture. It seems a bit dull overall though, maybe a touch more contrast? The cropping is well done and the leaves, I don't know if you placed them but they are a nice touch. Started at a 6, going to an 8

This is a nice shot and getting the vases or urns on either side of the bell is a good idea but the roof in the back on the left curves off and the right is straight, a bit distracting to me. It also seems just a bit bright, maybe a bit less contrast? Started at a 5, am going to a 7

How nice of that bird to pose for you! ;) This is a very pretty shot and the use of negative space is well done on this one because you have the bird in the shot. The clouds on the tips of the mountains is also a good capture bu the color is a bit wanting, it just seems it could pop just a bit more. Also the white border is a bit too big for this shot, Started at a 5 am going to an 7

I'm not too far from this site (being from Montana originally 600 miles is a short distance for me) and have yet to make it there.

This is very sacred ground to our nation on a whole and a wonderful idea for thsi challenge. As for the shot itself, including the people and their emotions is a very good idea but I think I would have liked it more if it showed more of the memorial itself. The clarity is there as is the lighting, I started with a 6 am going to a 7

Not sure what you mean by the title but this shot is a bit, not sure what it is but something about it nags me. I'll try to figure this out before the end of the challenge, LOL! I like the expansive nature of the shot and the tree on the left looks very desolate. The city (?) on the right is what I think is getting to me. It's so sharp and clear, as is the foreground. AHA! it's the DOF that is bugging me. It seems to me that the city should be a bit more blurred or the front should be. *WHEW* Glad I figured that out. I started at a 6 on this but am going to a 7

This looks almost like another shot in this challenge, only a different eve under the roof and a different statue on the lower roof, LOL!

I like this one very much, the contrast is a bit soft to me and the shadows on the bottom room are a bit distracting to me. I like the shadows created but the heavy black border is a bit too much, if it was a little lighter. The cropping is very well done. Started at a 6 but am going to an 8

Okay, it didn't take my comment the first time, glitch in the matrix, LOL!
I like this shot overall, the clarity, the sharpness, the colors, the lights, the shadows, but the contrast is just a tad too high for me, if it was down just a notch and the cropping was a little tighter on the left. Started at a 6 but am going to an 8

Very cool shot overall! I love the beads of dew on the spider web and the large droplet. Almost makes me wonder if it's natural or if you had a spray bottle handy, LOL! I'm not sure about the black and white in this shot though I am starting to love balck and white more and more this is just a bit too dark for my taste, I would like to see this one in color. Started at a 6 but am going to an 8

How pretty! I love this shot, can't wait to see where it is! The reflection of the mountains in the water and the light just coming up over the top of the mountains or setting (hard to tell for me). The coloring is a bit too purplish for me, not sure if you played with it or not. Also the clarity could be upped just a tad. Started at a 6 but am going to an 8
