House nostalgicby MelethiaComment: Wow. I really love what you did with this. Everything...from the vignette to the toning. Great Deb! |

Week 08by KenComment: Love the BW. Great sky and the shading in the dunes is very interesting, almost abstract. |

Week 05by KenComment: What a great capture! I don't think the lake is necessary though, so I'd suggest a tighter crop to the sand. And this shot just looked to me like it was begging for the LucisArt "illustrative" treatment, since it could be a rockewell painting in itself. So I gave it a quick go (hope you don't mind):

Week 06by KenComment: I love the BW of this. So much stronger than the color version. A winner! I should go back and do one of mine for my next week! |

Week 06 Bonusby KenComment: Look at that horrid shooting style (not to mention fashion style)! No wonder all my shots are blurry! ;) |

Tara-and-Jude--3.jpgby jomariComment: Yes, this is the better of the two new backgrounds. I agree with the others that you shouldn't chop her off at the legs! Something like Kelli's edit works well to fix that.

Number 7 - Exploring the river bankby KelliComment: What a great shot. I like the crop and scene. I like the textures too, of course, but I think Topaz has overemphasized the rocks. I would suggest trying to darken the BG and bring him out with a bit of vignetting, and burning of highlights. To illustrate (and confirm) what I'd suggest--I hope it's ok--I downloaded this version and did a little playing in PS.
I toned down colors a bit by copying the layer, blurring it significantly, and then setting the mode of the layer to color. I was intending to reduce color noise in the rocks by doing that, but the toned down look really worked for me. Then I vignetted, with the focal point a small area around him; then I flattened and burned highlights around the edges, to darken even more.
Here's what you get when you play in such a manner. Just to give you some ideas. Hopefully, I didn't overstep my bounds by trying this, it's in my workshop for now; if I did, let me know and I'll remove it:

Mytoi Bridge (APAW-5a)by PGerstComment: I like the crop of this one, and the colors here best. Very nice. Howwever, I'd clean the aqua color from the vertical tree trunk in the upper right, it's unnatural. and the red and blue on the ground center left. At this size, I like it best: I'm not sure what will happen larger though, with the effect of the poster edges or whatever in the water. I didn't see the original in the left-right browse set, that's always nice to see with the edits. |

07 - Musical Mirage Revisitedby VitaminBComment: Much better crop, especially for this size; Glad to see you got rid of the extra orange. One other thing I'd suggest is some shadow/highlight or dodge to bring out the dark areas of the mouthpiece. Overall, well done. |

Week 4 Minor Editsby NeilComment: Thanks Kelli; I uploaded a 1000 pixel image thinking that would be larger than it would display, but it apparently displays the 1000 pixel image, so the "full sized" isn't larger. I'll upload a bigger one though in case someone wants to post a crop. |
