Deer Crossingby pitsamanComment: Super--this one makes a statement where animal meets man and often too tragic for both. |

Rby MikeOComment: Love the light and detail on this bird--it looks so painterly. One of my top picks. |

Path Way to the Cityby dinnComment: Very nice image; I think a perspective adjustment would make it better, and maybe a rotate since it looks tilted (may be confounded with the perspective here though). I also tink it would have been nice to use more telephoto. The foreground seems so dominating, yet the buildings are really the dominant force here. |

Spring Beeby SonifoComment: Very good detail and sharpness on the bee, and a good background too |

Rabbitby Crafty SueComment: These guys are hard to catch in the wild, but you seem to have him posing! But your autofocus was slower I think and to me this is just not near sharp enough. Also, it looks like it might need to have levels adjusted (contrast, brightness) since it doesn't appear to have true whites or blacks, and subjectively looks muddy (no pun intended!) |

Through The Looking Glassby kirkperComment: An interesting effect; but the face is so dominant, and the rest subdued and hard to figure out, that I am not sure what I am looking at. And to me, the effect doesn't stand on its own aesthetically; it might if I could after a few moments see the paradox, or trick, to what I am looking at. But it almost looks like a mask and photoshop filter, nothing based in reality, even though in this "group" I suspect there's some real basis for this. |

The Light Withinby edchisolmComment: This is an interesting idea, but a tough shot to pull off. Basically, I think it might have been better if more subtle; it appears to me to need more light on the outside areas, and a softer exposure at the light source. Perhaps just my own aesthetics. |

Look Into My Eyesby ddmckinney1954Comment: Good closeup, though in my opinion, there's too little duck here to really show his "beauty". Also, for a closeup of the eye beak and neck it seems slightly (I do mean slghtly) soft. The beak itself seems almost to be out of the DOF range. I think a little more postprocessing sharpening would have jazzed it up a bit. Maybe also cloning out the brown and white spot like hightlights in the water which do grab a little attention away too. |
