Sorry the DPC voters treated this nice shot so roughly! Don't let it discourage you! One post comment: you might try a crop at the top--the black/yellow vertical divider does not contribute to the image.

I agree with Ursula that this scored way too low. It's a nice image, good movement abstraction. I would however, have preferred it without most of the stem--a crop of the left portion just above the leaf. The danger of that is that it does appear to be "severed" and "floating", but I find the blur effect on the stem, especially the leaf, more a distraction than anything else. Worth playing with some crops. Don't let the DPC voters discourage you from experimenting like this!

Very nice motion study. Would have liked a little less tight crop, and perhaps slightly more saturation to bring out the skin tones a little more.

Wow. Thanks for calling my attention to this again. I don't know what the crowd was thinking when they voted this. It's marvelous--every bit as good as my 20th place. Very painterly and beautiful!

I don't really see the spinning technique in this, to me it looks like a veil. So if I understood you correctly, and you spun it--you have mastered it beyond me! That's a new fav for me!

This was one of the most well posed and creatively processed shots in the challenge. The expression alone was worth top 20. Reminds me of some of the expressions I see on Salvador Dali shots.

I don't know if you continue to use these post challenge--but perhaps think about a crop at the top to 1/4" above your right eyebrow (actually, cut point would be just below that one downward pointing hair mid upper right. I think that might bring more prominance to your fantastic expression.
