Incredibly beautiful...really appeals to the aspiring meteorologist in me. I would crop vertically at the bottom to remove the distracting reflections (or whatever they are) in the lower corners, and I would experiment with this in black and white or sepia grayscale.

I like it. I would try it in black and white and soften the focus a bit to create a "warmer" effect--perhaps as an after-challenge experiment?

Fascinating perspective. I love how you can take an otherwise boring shot and creatively frame it to become a work of art.

Man, I love the shot...but it's dying for a foreground lighting...something soft to make those front canes just really pop out.

Wow...This would make such a nice program cover for weddings, don't you think?

This one would be so much more striking if the plants were in sharper focus. I realize that spot-editing is prohibited for this challenge, but afterwards, you might consider editing the plants out entirely, or at least sharpening them. I would also love to see the effect of this shot in black and white, or perhaps a sepia tone?

This seems like something that would make a good theme for website development.

Trans fat never looked so good...

For what it's worth, and for anyone who might have missed the irony of my title or initial description, I was going for sarcasm here. I got my donuts that particular morning, and they looked so good on the rack, but then when I opened the sack and noticed the amount of grease that had been transferred to the paper, I was mildly disgusted. I always thought these were the LOWER fat donuts...and when I held the thing up to the light and noticed how much it seemed to be glistening, I decided it might make a mildly interesting shot to make an otherwise tasty-looking treat appear less appetizing when you get close enough to realize what's in it. I'm not convinced I succeeded, as the voting seems to indicate. But thanks for everyone's comments!
