Busy dayby UrfaKComment: My favorite in the challenge. Incredible DOF, and composed in a way that makes the fog integral to the storytelling. Documentary photography at its finest in my book. |

Old and New by GeorgesBogaertComment: Of the many ways that I might have attempted something like this, I can't imagine any execution being more striking or powerful. I love the subdued color grading choices you made here. Congrats on a well-deserved blue! |

Strange Days on the Shoreby Avocet1Comment: Another personal favorite for me in this challenge. The use of negative space is inspired, and besides being quite on-theme, this composition has just the right balance of interpretive evocation and artistic declaration to make for a compelling gallery piece. |

Predator And Preyby RefocusedComment: One of my 9s. An astoundingly well-executed macro with documentary-level storytelling. But for my eye, it was the similarity in colors that really enhance the predator/prey juxtaposition and made it a pitch-perfect fit for this challenge. |

Horsepowerby glad2badadComment: Nice one. I see far more cowboys riding their fence lines on UTVs these days than on horseback. A brilliant juxtaposition for me. |

Harmony of Differenceby DigiFotoBuddyComment: This was among my favorites in the challenge. The clarity and color really make for an attractive composition for my eye. It also helps that the two leaves are placed without distraction and are of near-identical size. The placement on the tree makes it unclear to me whether this was a "found" natural growth or two curated leaves carefully placed for the juxtaposition. Not that it matters, visually, but I'd be interested to know. :-) |

Write and Rongby sidpixelComment: Thematically, this was one of the more compelling entries in the challenge for me. Also thoughtfully composed and begging to be the headliner graphic for an authorly blog somewhere. |

6. Awwweby Art RoflmaoComment: The meta-ness of this is just astounding. Consider my mind officially blown. |

The harbourby NeatComment: This was one of my top picks. Warm colors are what make this one work, for sure. I love how it instantly registers not only as a harbor scene, but also as a distinctively "desert" part of the world. If those were spaceships instead of boats, it would feel like an establishing shot from STAR WARS or DUNE. |
