Cousinsby jomariComment: The square crop really conveys the intimacy of the moment in this one. |

Film Noir by KristjanUnnarComment: Love it. Probably my favorite in the challenge. Literally my only (teensy) nit is that I wish the light placement were just a tiny bit elevated off the table so that the surface glare beneath the camera legs was just a bit less distracting. My eye keeps wanting to go there rather than to the center of the subject, where it seems to be intended. But overall a superb and cinematically evocative composition. |

Race to sunsetby NeatComment: You certainly landed a bunch of amazing shots from this beach session. The family must be super pleased. :-) You definitely nailed the vibe with this one. |

A Study in Blue by DCrest01Comment: Exquisite. Top three for sure. Will return to vote later.
For your next in this series, maybe try having the one on the right be almost full and the one on the left be almost empty...and then have the water levels across all three form an almost perfect horizontal line. (That's where my brain immediately went, anyway...) |

Chinese autumn potionby mariucaComment: Love the detail in this shot. It's a thoughtful subject, and the use of backlighting is a key composition choice, so it gets a bump from me for this challenge.
One nit: I do wish that the lid of the jar was turned just a little more counter-clockwise so that the metal clamp obscured less of the subject and its out-of-focus-ness felt less accidental. |

Echinacea warmby PenelopeKComment: Definitely warm, for me at least. :-) I love square-crop wildflower shots like this. Someday, I hope to do a series of drink coasters with exactly this sort of perspective on Texas wildflowers. |

The Baton by primabarbaraComment: A very effective choice for this challenge. Also very attractively captured and processed. I would really love to see a variation with the conductor's eyes not looking squarely at the camera, too. |
