So.. the image- Proper Weston crop; slightly high contrast. In fact, when I think of his peppers they beg for personification. And so does this cat. This is a well executed cat portrait in the style of Weston. Not necessarily his subject matter. Oh, and too bad for me... I really don't like cats. Terrible allergies. But I can't help but bump this one up on my second look. Good luck!

This one has me a bit confused. Which is good IMHO. I looked at a number of Weston photographs, but missed any that had a foot. Anyway, I don't particularly like looking at guys hairy legs. BUT, the tones, the perspective, the detail, and the sense of motion imparted by the 'foot rest' are all very cool. And to top it off it looks very 'filmy' or film-like. So... I gave it a nine. Hairy mans leg and all.

I like this type of photo.. this man in his element. At first I didn't like the movement from what I presume is a slow shutter speed handheld. Now I am not so sure. Almost appropriate considering the environment.

Front page material. Love the tones, detail and contrast. While I think some of Weston's fruits/veggies mimic the human form, subtly, here I am am reminded of birds. Or sea lions. If I was to nit pik, and I won't, I would say a 4x5 (or 5x4) crop would be more Weston'esque. No matter though. 9 from me.

Yup. Right on the money. I am a fan of a white "print-like" border, but you might get a comment or two about that. A unique form that invites me to personify the tomato. Tones and contrast... heck... is this an actual Weston photo??

Perfect, as far as the Weston style is concerned. (Except maybe a 4x5 crop would be even more Wetonesque.) For me, achieving the wonderful tones you have here was not possible due to my skill level. 9

Another wonderful portrait in the Weston style, IMHO. Interesting that many of his shots are rather high contrast, but from what I have seen, his portraits are generally not so. 8
