A very sweet and peaceful image. I like the muted light, fits the challenge fairly well, get a vague sense of solitude. The colors are nice, especially the shirt vs. the green grass. The street in the upper left kind of detracts for me. Would rather a full expanse of grass. Very photogenic child, wonderful expressive face. Nice job! 7

Gorgeous silhouette. I love the colors, spectacular. Focus is excellent, use of light is obviously wonderful. The simplicity of the cactus shape and its starkness against the color really help promote the alone and solitude feelings. Excellent image. 10

Wow, I love the color of the owl.. its a lovely purply grey. Excellent shot. Focus is good, I love the range of textures in the photo. Fits alone in general - the underlying solitude or loneliness feeling detailed in the challenge is missing for me. Lighting is good, though the bright spot in the lower right corner does detract. I think a tighter crop along the top, to get the break in the stone wall out would keep the photo together, also create a little more intimate atmosphere. That said this is a fantastic shot. Very well done. 8

The cold blue tone really helps convey a feeling of loneliness, despair and maybe even fear. Model looks very vulnerable. Focus is great, lighting is good though the stark white is a little brighter than I'd like. Very emotive piece. Well done. 8

Great image! I love the rich colors in the foreground. Excellent focus on the sheep and grass, I even like the country vs 'city' contrast with its natural light on the sheep and the hazy, pseudo-smog air over the town. (not sure if that was purposeful or not, but there it is all the same) Fits the challenge very well in my eyes. I'm not exactly sure what aspect has engaged me so much with this image, but I really like it. 10

Heh, cute title. I like the contrast of color against grey. Focus is good in general, but I wish the plant was sharper, rather than the gravel/sand beneath it. The low lighting sets off the image well. I think the border is too bright, pulls my eyes away from the photo. 6

Nice use of black & white, lighting is excellent too. I like the focus - there's a nice feeling of depth with the composition as well. Fits the challenge. Nice solid image. 7

Interesting image. I like the different angles vs the organic shapes of the girl. I also like the double 'alone' whammy with the person or figure in the cage. The natural lighting is nice, focus is pretty good. The building in the back has a strange oblong nature to it, looks stretched oddly. 6

Great perspective! The natural light is nice, has a softness too it that extends to the water and beach. The rather neutral colors help enhance the subject, she stands out very well. There's a feeling of 'all alone' but not solitude or loneliness to me - this is a rather joyful image. I like it. Good use of space. 6

Fits the challenge, has good focus and the low lighting is ok but the image is flat for me, doesn't generate much interest. I think a different use of space, having the fly in one of the bottom corners with a large expanse of drapery or cloth might add some depth to the photo. 5
