I like the vision behind this photo. Fits the challenge well and has a high interest impact. Colors are good as is lighting. I wish the focus was a little sharper though. A solid capture over all. 7

I think this is a beautiful image, the composition is great, the image fresh and crisp. The bright color of the star does separate it a bit from the image, but the fact that there are other pieces in it makes it seem less alone than it could. Still a great photo! 8

A simple image can always be one of the more powerful. I like the use of negative space. The candle makes the red glow nicely. Definitely fits the challenge, I just wish the focus wasn't so soft. The softness does work in the image, but I think it could still use a little sharpening. Overall a very nice photo. 6

Great use of space, I like the contrast of the shadow and light - but I must say that the dog does blend a little, I wish more detail of the animal could be seen. I also think the photo is rendered a little small. Meets the challenge very well, great background - high interest. Well done. 7

Very interesting image! I like the color and lighting, the negative space makes it stand out all the more, fits the challenge well. I wish there was more focus though on the building. Other than that, a great photo! 7

Gorgeous colors, the leaves are fantastic. Nice distance feeling, helps give a solitude tone. I'm wishy washy on whether the couple would count as a single subject, I find it hard to view it in an 'all alone' light. Focus is good, composition is nice, though I'd have preferred the couple to be somewhere other than central. Also, I'm not sure why the red coat is so much more bright than the leaves on the trees, but it does seem a little too vibrant. Don't get me wrong, these are rather small things, I think this is a fantastic image. Nicely executed. 9
