What a sweet face. Great use of black & white, the lighting is great. The child does look rather pensive, though I'm not sure I get a solitude or loneliness vibe. That said, it certainly fits the general feel of 'all alone'. The focus is good, though it sems to be centered on the hair just off the temple to the right - would rather it was on her face. Other than that, I have no complaints. A beautiful photo. 8

An interesting image, I think alone it wouldn't have been that great, but the vivid colors and the use of duotone gives a nice abstract look. The lighting is great, composition is nice. Focus is pretty good but I wish it were sharper on the hydrant. My main detractant is that though the hydrant is by itself, the fact that there is a corresponding yellow on the leaves gives a feeling of togetherness or community, kind of dampens the alone feeling for me. I like the originality of the image. Very nice. 7

Great image! I love the differing angles and textures and the use of the reflection pool is perfect. Very high interest image. I don't see anything I'd change or suggest different options on. A very well composed photograph. 10

Great rich colored sky, nice stark lines. Focus is good, as is the lighting. I think the border is a little too much. A simple medium thickness black border wouldn't draw the eyes away as much in my opinion. Great composition. Good work! 7

Very nice photo. I love the distance of it and the colors are great, though a little dulled - possibly because of the lowish light. Nice composition, really covers the challenge well. I do wish the main subject (man on bench) was a bit more in focus, also I'd recommend cropping the left side just a hair more so that black box/sign thingie wasn't showing. The border seems a bit too much for the image - draws me away instead of keeping me in. A good, interesting image, well done. 6

Fantastic image. I love the contrast between the sheer, dark mountainous cliffs and the small but colorful barn. The lighting is good, focus is excellent. Subject is very interesting. My only wish was that the sky was a more uniform and deeper blue. Still this is a very awe-inspiring photo. Well done. 9

Fantastic colors! That's the first thing that strikes me about the image. Simply wonderful. I love the silhouette - especially the fact that the lines of the person are nice and sharp.
