Trollsby mrbig65Comment: I've looked at this twice now, and both times I've chuckled.
I like it. Nice clarity and detail. There is a lot to look at but I still like the shot. They eye is drawn straight to the grey troll which is what you intended, I assume. |

Tribute to: "eye of the dragon" by cjadams1 [IMAGE_ID=36435]by LydiaComment: I was looking through my comments and noticed I pasted something in here by mistake. Whoops.
Nice image. Great detail. Nice hairs. Nice use of DOF.
My favorite part of the shot is that the browness of the wings by the body of the dragon fly.
Sorry about the dud post. |

Epperby Yo_SpiffComment: Was just checkin' your profile out and saw the HM in rectangles and took a look.
I gave this an 8. I thought the colour of the bricks was really interesting. The grid and the contrast of the blown our orange and the black was very interesting.
The only... fault (and this is totally the wrong word) I saw in it when I voted was the tilt of the shot. It follows the break in the plaster on the top left, but it doesn't follow the trends of the bricks This might be down to the shooting, though. You may have needed to be a few feet taller to get everything in parallel :) Need to add a cinder block to your shootin' kit :P |

Redby colorcarnivalComment: Heh. You suck at DPC bingo! :)
I gave you a 5 cause I thought I might comment that it was out of focus, that you should use a smaller aperture and that some of the leaves were distracting, in particular the one on the left.
But realistically I thought it was interestingly done, processed and I really liked the small drops of water on the bulb. I should have sixed it to be fair. |

Evolutionby gpureticComment: I think it might have been amusing to have put a fourth stage to the potato. Maybe mashed, roasted, cut as chips on a plate or something. Creative idea though. Bizarre shaped potatoes! |

The pot of gold is relative...by Tommy_MacComment: That's a grand pot of spuds!
I'm curious about how you got the rainbow in basic. Was it with a long exposure and sweeping of some colours?
Hopefully it'll be in the notes. |

Home cut friesby udjbComment: I had something similar in my shot, a knife near a cut up potato. I was advised that a clean knife would be best, but it really just made my photo look fake, that the knife was put there as a prop, which of course it was.
My shot's far from being liked, though. So maybe clean's the way to go for good shots.
You have nice smooth lighting.
The knife might be a little over bright and catching the eye a little too much. The fries are nice and clean.
The table is a little dirty. I think that adds to the character of the shot, but others mightn't agree with me on this. |

Would You Like Fries with That?by franktheyankComment: I think it has been oversoftened a little. Just looking at the leaves in the background they, to me anyway, they look a bit too smooth.
Amusing shot, however. I wouldn't like fries with him! |

Evil potato from outer spaceby fridjoComment: Nice work in putting scales on the potato. I'm far from any kind of expert on lighting, but is the light on his face a little too... strong? It just seems a little too bright on his 'lap' I think. |
