Very interesting perspective. Love the grim feeling of this.
There's a big dirty sensor spot that I'm sure people have commented on already. Love the gradient on the sky though. Very nice.

Heh heh heh heh.
What's great about this is there's a lot going on. The bird is incidental, sorta, and adds to the shot as an afterthought (after looking at it for a while). The focus of my eye is mostly on the boot which keeps the shot very much about the boot.

What a great idea, though. *pats back* :P

I prefer this one to the alternative, purely because of the people going in opposite directions, and that their heads were slightly inclined towards each other. Gives a sense of realism towards it.
However... I preferred the perspective of the other. A happy in-between would be excellent :)
I hit this with an 8.
