A good attempt, but it's clear that you camera metered on the horse instead of the background, causing the background to be overexposed and the horse to have too much light to constitute a silhouette. If your camera has manual priority functions for aperture and shutter speed (M), try getting a reading off the background and keep those settings to execute the shot.

The girl with the vail rocks. Not sure about the other fellow. I find he takes away from image impact. Nice colours, but it feels a bit washed out. I think you could have boosted reds, magentas and blues a little.

I would have gone for a more of-center composition. The manner inwhich you manipulated the sky makes it look more like a paintaing than a photograph. It also looks like you have a dust spot on your sensor - there a greyish blob to the lower-right of the cross's right arm. I like how the cross is the only element of this shot.
