Going with the Flowby chaliceComment: I'm enjoying being part of the DPL "First 10" Challenge. Yours is photo #4 in my random voting stream.
Wow. It's blue. It's feathers, it's pastel. Might even be graveyard, depending on the condition of the feather donor. Seriously, and interesting feather abstract with interesting textures and lighting variation. Nice. |

Plumes De Pouletby Dr.ConfuserComment: I'm enjoying being part of the DPL "First 10" Challenge. Yours is photo #2 in my random voting stream.
The placement of feather in the top third of the frame works nicely to give room for the full reflection and the amount of negative space white is right on. I'm distracted by the turquoise and blue color fringing and wish the whole thing was a bit sharper and not so grainy. |

Sonoran Treasureby NikonJebComment: I'm enjoying being part of the DPL "First 10" Challenge. Yours is photo #5 in my random voting stream.
Definitely evocative of the Sonoran Desert and American Indian and frontier traditions. I like the toning choices and the implication of age. Not sure the border adds anything. Nice! |

This has lovely soft and gentle aura to it. The toning and exposure choices accentuate the subject really well and the pattern/placement of the feathers creates interesting combined symmetry and asymmetry. However, brightness in the very center tends to hold my attention at a less than interesting point, and the shadow at the upper left seems a bit out of character. Overall quite engaging work! |

Feather Shaftby quicheComment: I'm enjoying being part of the DPL "First 10" Challenge. Yours is photo #1 in my random voting stream.
I like the abstract nature of this image. The diagonal line creates a sense of balance that works well with the contrasting area of light and dark. I'd be curious about the effect of a bit more DOF, although this choice effectively puts the center of attention right in the center of the frame. |
