Colorful living by tamatamaComment: An initially striking photo that holds up to longer (and repeated) views. I don't predict challenge outcomes, but I hope you do well! |

Congratulations on your win!! It's lovely. |
Thanks. And agreed. Perhaps something like this quick edit...

well dang, this was one of my favorites and now I see it's a copy of something on shutterstock. |
Sorry... I can't claim the idea as an original. I don't use or visit Shutterstock, and frankly, don't remember where/when I originally saw something like this. I created it with the intent of honing some compositing skills and representing a concept about freedom that I thought was particularly germane in our current environment.
So...
Derivative? Yep. No objection to that characterization.
Shameless copy? Not a chance.
Demonstration of improved PP abilities? Absolutely.
Happy with the result/score: Affirmative
Art? Hmmm... I guess that's a question for the beholder.
Thanks for the comments. It's alright with me if it's still one of your favorites :-)
Or not.

Iron Horseby Yo_SpiffComment: Wow. What a standout! Concept, design, abstraction of the essence, and clever title/content connection. Didn't vote, but this would have been a favorite and high score! |

Ryker_IMG_7640gsq-DPChcby GeneralEComment: Interesting side-by-side versions. Karen's initial comment led me to seeing it differently in the original, which I think a still prefer as it allows multiple perspectives related to shape and content. The two side by side provide a fine example of the power of words (Karen's comment) and processing to influence perception.
Thanks! |

Lingering Optimismby PenelopeKComment: I'm completely on-board with the new title. It creates a very personal, yet somehow vague, response for me. Timely. |
