Waiting for Use for Decadesby rlewisComment: I didn't vote in that challenge and anyway my ratings are often the opposite of the mainstream so probably not much use to you but I like your image. I am no expert either so take this all with suitable doses of salt...
For me it has a sense of mood and generally good overall composition. I like the tonal range and narrow depth of field - they suit the composition and feel.
The only negatives I would raise are the chopped off (and therefore unresolved) bits of stuff in the bottom right foreground and mid right that are a little distracting (to me).
I would have rated it more than the ~4.7 and 97/133 you got - around 6-7 on my warped scale.
That is probably your downfall then... if I like it, many others won't :(

Dillo in the skyby WalesPComment: I think this has potential but wondering if the interesting bits (for me the top half of the image) wouldn't have been better if made more dominant.
The bottom half takes up a lot of image and the composition seems to aim the eye there but isn't that interesting - sorry had to give it 5 but personally think it could have been worth much more with a different angle of shot and cropping. Potential is there. |

Dentedby KelliComment: good focus and colours but it doesn't really grab me. Maybe a tighter crop perhaps or more dramatic lighting? Not sure but can't see how to make this shot stand out but for me it just doesn't resonate - 5 |

Killer Sushi !!!by mrbig65Comment: good colours and focus and imagination but it just doesn't hit me. It should!- the idea (I am guessing) based on the subject matter and arrangement is to provoke a response from the viewer but for some reason isn't doing that for me. I am wondering if it is a little to unsubtle... perhaps if you had panned back a bit so the shot at first glance looks like a fairly normal scene then forces a second glance to make the hit rather than the screws being pretty much in your face? Who knows... sorry but had to give it 5 |

Crossroadsby hahn23Comment: definitely meets the challenge but doesn't really resonate with me other than that. Focus and composition OK but not much spark. That is just me though - 5 |

Capsized? by chazoeComment: sorry it just doesn't strike me much this one. The point of interest is too small to make a strong statement I guess. Had to give it 4 |
