WHat a beautiful loking cat.
I adore the yellow eyes .
The uniform greyness of the image gives the impression of a selective desaturation
The back lighting coming from over the shoulder creates a great outline around the head.
Only negative thing I could say would be that the bunched up blanket doesn't really suit a portrait image so well.
Nice angle in that you have got down to the cats level, and the crop works well.
Focus looks good and sharp on the eyes.

Great picture, but doesn't realy pass as a portrait.
It could have done better if the face and eyes where visible, but on my monitor I only see a black outline with a tongue on snow.

Cute dog, but not a good portrait.
Cropping just the tail out wasn't good.
The b&w conversion is good, but the coloured frame really draws your attention away from the dog to the frame.
Exposure is food, and nice that you have got down to the eye level of the dog.

Well.. it is a snake and green, but for a portrait you need the head and in particular the eyes. If the head was in this photo it would have done lots better. Crop focus lighting are all ok.

The arm and the crop are what break this photo. Lighting seems nich and soft. That said, for anmals you are normally better without such a soft light source. If you are using a softbox (Which I think you are here) you are better off without the diffuser and just the silver inner lining of the box as this creates more shine in the fur. When the light is very doft, the fur becomes very matt.

I'm going to bump this up a bit, I like how the reflection is looking at me.
Lighting and focus seem pretty good, and the B&W works too.

What an amazing looking cat and amazing eyes.
Big minus points here for not removing that cussion on the left... the details count.
However good crop and nice angle.

I find this difficule to judge.
Possible y little dark.
The texture of the carped definitley distracts, however I like the interesting viewpoint. Focus appears to be good and sharp on the eyes. Maybe a reflector or very very low powered flash would help to ass a little bit of a glint to the eyes.

On camera flash doesn't help this image.
Try to ues a more imaginitive lighting setup. Either try to get your flash off your camera, or use window lighting or a reflector to make things more interesting and softer.
Focus is also on the nose here rather than the eyes.

Cute looking cat.
A little more attention to the background i.e. remove the clutter would have helped, and maybe a portrait crop. The square crop is interesting, however as your background is messy it detracts rather than adds to the image.
Even though I suspect you have used on camera flash, the light coming from the back left of the photo enhances the outline. Getting down to eye level is also good.
