The only thing that the original photo has that this doesn't is a real mood. The cat looks ready to pounce there, which gives the viewer a sense for the temperament of the cat. |

Some things that could help it be better: Less distracting background, especially the lighter areas (to get this, you could have cropped and then used some advanced editing techniques to turn down background brightness). |
