I feel there's a story, but I'm just not getting it. Is it about some odd lesbian menage a trois? I have no idea.. They do seem serious about it though.

Brown attempt? Should be a contender.

In any case, the subject matter is.. I want to say boring, but it's not really quite that bad, it's just not at all exciting, or really very interesting. The wall texture is far more interesting to me than the knives or their frame. However, there are more issues here.. Your white balance is off, the entire image is quite soft (out of focus), this looks like it was shot at ISO 1600, and there's a banded shadow on the left and bottom of your frame.

Ok, don't hate me, just being honest.. Good try, an especially good try if you're trying for the brown.

Her skin tone is great, but the falling ear-ring gives this one away. Nothing else would have thrown it, but that ear-ring gave the shot away.. Well maybe the arm that's out of the frame..

Houndstooth and a feather boa? WOW. Ok seriously, a fine portrait shot, but I'm not sure if this will be generally seen as a fashion shot... Her eyes are the stand out feature of this image, very well done.

Wow. Good try. But here are some issues you have in this image.

1. Your background black cloth is plainly visible. (burn it down)

2. Your flash looks like it might set a fire. (turn it down, and was this an onboard flash?? Next time use a bit of paper as a flashbouncer, or if this is a real flash, then bounce it or something :) those hard shadows kill this)

3. What the hell is she doing? :)

4. Skintone is blotchy... (please forgive, she's very cut, probably just your camera or something.:)..)

5. Sunglasses? Really?

...

Other than that though, a technically good-ish image.. Everything is in focus (up to and including the background), and your model was a fine choice.

Ok, cheers... That was too long, and now you probably hate me.. Sigh.

Funny. Where was this taken? clearly not in the US.

I like the photo for it's quirky qualities, but by no means is this a great shot. The backlighting just kills the image, and really washes out your model.

I do enjoy what you've done here with a reflection, it certainly does add depth and interest to what might at first appear to be a rather effortless, and muddy image. I fear that it will not get all of the attention it deserves, and will suffer from that in the voting.. Best of luck to you!
