Re/Progressionby syntexsisComment: Sorry, but this has absolutely no bokeh. My apologies, but the entire photo is soft, and there is absolutely no bokeh..
Beautiful place though.. |

Green 'n Blueby Mikec87Comment: While I do like your crisp leaf, the bug is slightly OOF, and your bokeh is not a dominant feature. |

His slice of the world.by PrashComment: A critique by request:
I was torn on this image, between a 5 and a 6, I gave you a 5, and I'll explain that decision, but first, let me explain why it almost got a 6.. It was fairly unique among this field of very strong entries, and it has great emotional impact.
Now, why did it get the lower score?
Simple, I think the B&W was a questionable processing choice, and the image looks a bit too high in contrast.
Your bokeh is too sharp, I much prefer a smoother softer creamy bokeh.. Still a nice image, and I was glad to see it in the challenge. |

grand canyon south rimby davisambroseComment: Other than the people, I would have given this a 4.. As it was you got a six.. And yes, I can understand the 1 vote. This was a very difficult scene, but would have been much better a bit later. The sky needed to equalize in brightness with the ground. Obviously a HDR would have been ideal. As a result your sky is blown out and the ground is dark, unsaturated, and noisy. I really shouldn't have voted 6 here, but I liked the people very much.
