A Mother's Smile by scarbrdComment: Congrats, not withstanding the skill and effort to be out there, that little Olympus OMD EM5 is brilliant, especially for smaller hands. 7 |

In Aweby epescalaComment: Look at all the comments durign voting! (Avg (commenters): 7.3750) And yet the 5 and sub 5 voters dragged it down to a 5.8673. I bet they never even noticed her wings! Travesty! (Mine was a 9) |

a nuanced provocationby tangueraComment: I erred by not commenting (on obviously a Tanguerra) Nice booty too :) Light is dramatic but a bit subdued. Hard call to make as to how much natural light is enough... |

fixitby herfotomanComment: Simple and super. Coming off the same week of the Black on Black challenge I subconsciously voted a low 6 thinking there was too much white. Haauw sorry! |

An angel named Rufous by DennisheckmanComment: Great flight shot of these little F1's on wings :) Perfect still head and blurred wings. Great BG. I find the central composition in this instance to suit the image, especially as it is crucifixion in look and feel. (It however concerns me that as there is no environment (flower(s), stems, branches) that to me screams "baited site") From a photographic skill and technicals POV it's worth at least an 8. More if there's real nectar and flowers, pushing the skill required up exponentially. |

The Young Grey Fox by JayneRyanComment: Lovely image and great BG but too centrally composed. I'd have cropped at least up to foreshank or the brown collar from the left hand side for a better more striking image. (i.e. Head and shoulders) |

The Cycleby davidwComment: I appreciate it when images like this are entered to the Free Studies. There is something about the serenity of nature that is lost when only man made structures or portraits etc. are entered. Lovely shapes, forms, exposure. Very brave. 7. WD. |
