Grate Expectationsby klkitchensComment: Nice blues set off by the silver. Dried water splotches detract a bit. Good tilt to improve interest. |

Tools indeed...which ones do you use?by sarampoComment: Looks like PlayDoh but they are half in focus and half OOF. I've no idea what they are lying on and what the blue/white thing in the background is? A laptop screen? Too much going on. Sorry but I don't get it! |

To much knitting..by mjfdiasComment: Great construction with a tight crop, lots to look at. May I suggest a tripod and/or a much longer exposure to get the wooden egg also in focus? Then perhaps just a bit more sat on the browns. Bumped 1. |

Tango Dancerby tangueraComment: At first I saw legs. Then I came back 24 hours later and saw heels on a mirrored surface and understood your skewed/tilted shot and bumped another 2 for creativity and subtlety. I didn't like the dark lighting but ignored this for the artsy-ness of the shot. |

Needle and Threadby KyleGComment: Hi. At least you thought about a subject that fits the challenge. However it falls short on lighting and focus. The tip of the needle, the thread and the thimble are all in a a parralel line and must be in focus and the items like the reading glasses and thread roll should be out of focus. Go manual next time and don't rely on the camera's autofocus. You can push colours and saturation a bit during editing for Basic Challenges, as well as contrast/tones. Hope this crit helps! |

Masterchef gourmet judgeby kiwinickComment: You are probably wondering why so few or no comments? All I can say is ugh.
Fork tips are blown, probably by the flash. (Drop it's intensity by at least 2 or 3 stops.) Then get some ambient light or a simple 100w Halogen hand held above to get detail in the dark erm food(?) in the middle. I can't see what that mess is below the utensils and the composition has me turning my head 90 degrees to the right. Change the perspective so that the fork and spoon are left and right as if you were about to eat. Change the angle of view as you would see in most food mags. Sorry just not very inspiring. I don't mean to be harsh. This is my opinion only. Look at your histogram and you will see you have enormous peaks in dark and light areas and little elsewhere. I hope this constructive crit helps. |

Dentistryby SiouxComment: Great idea but 80% of the shot is OOF and heavily distracts. |

Music by DigiFotoBuddyComment: Nicely composed. Perhaps a bit dark but good lighting without glaring flash or shadows. Great colours, pity the bow is cut off @ top. What is the white widget thingy? |
