My Future is in Your Handsby MAKComment: Sublime. No more comment necessary. Where do we sign for the release? Just hope the slight haloing is not due to PP. |

"Backyard Bird Watching"by DphotoComment: Enjoyable image, with a great BG and enough sharpness on head and eyes, feathers and legs. The composition is too far to the left, breaking rules perhaps. Nothing unusual about that as NG aren't totally formula shots. Is it telling enough of a story for NG is what you have to ask yourself before submitting it to them. |

The banditby rhoadesurfComment: Good composition. Difficult to get the timing and focus correct no doubt. Is it an optical illusion that overall the image appears missing red/warmth because of the overpowering purple? I think you missed the focus on the eyes of the insect. The nose and tips of the antennae appear ok. Background is great and makes the image stand out. I just think that to be "up there" insect eyes have to be focussed. |

Fishing Manby adigitalromanceComment: I love silhouettes. Timing and location have to be perfect. This is quite nice, the sun, the rays on the water, the fowl in the distance but I have to comment on the fisherman's head being intersected by the water, rivers edge. It's sometimes small attention to detail that makes an NG image stand out. Overall the exposure is good and the composition close to excellent, if only you had gotten a tad higher before shooting. |

The Colour of Hellby AmmieComment: Great documentary image. Pertaining to man's changing the course of nature, global warming, or any other environmental issue no doubt. The heat wave has distorted the human, and I can't judge who or what. Resident? Fire-fighter? By stander? A yellow helmet and fire-fighter gear would have elevated the image no end. Still a valid entry imo. |

Sting Rayby Marc923Comment: Nice close view of the ray. Suspiciously it is color tinted by the laminated glass of an aquarium? A bit of CA is also visible. The low light has left you with a very slow s/s and thus a blurred somewhat OOF image. It's not terrible but I think NG would have produced something more polished. |

Strawby GudjonottoComment: It's not an overly garish PP DPC eye candy image. Unusual in the large grassy foreground. It could be a piece on sand dune mining reclamation with the promise of rain. Of course NG have done stories about man vs nature and this could well have been used. |

Focus on African Artby GinaRothfelsComment: Lovely piece. NG have been known to do stories on art and culture. The white BG is not easy on the eyes. I think black is more traditional, or at least more used overall. The focus and lighting is excellent as it should be for a "still life" in "studio" work. Typical NG and printable. |

Archilochus colubrisby NobodyComment: Beautiful composition and bokeh. Fitting title. I think you let yourself down with a too slow s/s as there is blur. The tongue would have been so much better as would the overall focus. Yes, trying light, I agree. Harsh? Maybe but to be printed NG are I think very choosy, especially as they have such a huge stock library. |
