Swimming with the Fishesby MaryOComment: Another under appreciated image. It's not easy to shoot flashless in a museum and get sharp, well composed images in tight spaces with dozens of people bumping and stepping in front of you. The D700 sensor at ISO6400 is just unbelievable but it is the D3 sensor. It's been on my shopping list for years... 7 from me and keep it up! |

Dawn Flightby CoryComment: Travesty at 100th. How can 42 voters give this a below 5.5 (average)! When all the oil runs out and the iPhones and TV's stop working they will rediscover mother nature...perhaps. |

Weatheredby AmmieComment: In those days the Kaya was built from sandstone. Today it's made from corrugated iron. How much better off are labourers in the cities? Give me the farm any day. A nice window look "out" "in-to" yesteryear. |

Coastal Rhythmsby CuttoothComment: Could easily be Bear_Music or a slight twist on a Cuttooth. Musical, magical, momentous. 8. |

Strange Daysby PaulComment: The need to shock in the modern day with reality TV, expansive Hollywood film productions, privacy invasion newspapers and Paparazzi adds to the need for the unexpected, the different, the nipple piercing, and so on in modern stills work in order to stand out. I'd have enjoyed this just as much without the gas mask. Bold. 7. Very Paul-ish |

Crater Lake - Snow Topped Eleganceby LinMalAngComment: Lovely reflection, a bit too low imo. The foreground rock jutting out is competing with claustrophobic distant hills. A slightly higher POV excluding the rock and including a bit more sky...would then have been a 9. Instead I'm being generous with a 7. Art, go figure. |
