52 Week Nature Challenge Week 7by DiamondsComment: I'm not a great lover of newly born, perhaps I have been tainted by all this placing them in a bucket with a cleaners (maids) scarf around their head whimsy photography. Call me naive.
Excuse my lame attempt at C&C then. She looks adorable, those little lips all wrinkled up and a happy asleep smile. I'd rather see her hands and fingers, or crop out and not at all. |

Long Neckby sfaliceComment: Just amazing what you can see when you look up. You've controlled the lens distortion very well, conscientiously to keep the pole as straight as possible Alice. Unique POV and subject. There's a fair amount of lens CA on the outer corner as seen in the bridge structure, wire and window frame and you may or may not want to correct that in future challenge entries in PP. Damn that bush in the way...i think the three man made elements on their own would be very powerful, sterile. |

The Accidentby OzComment: Love it. Brings back memories of my days a FF, EMS. I must do some more ride alongs with the local boys.
I don't mind the "our view" that Neil mentions, perhaps because I was always in the middle cutting someone out of their vehicle or trying to keep the swivel neckers away.
Works well in B&W as it cuts the drama to the bone. Simplifies it. Sanitises it. |

Week 8by bassboneComment: As a non North American all I see is a tin contraption tied to the tree next to a road. However I am curious as to what it is and the camera used. Is all photography meant to be pin sharp and mind blowing or is it meant to be a magic recording device?
I absolutely love the retro classic feel, the slide style frame, the odd almost separating tones (CA) which are a trademark of the Hipstamatic mimicry of old disposable cameras. Amazing what can be done with a cell phone these days. Thank you for breaking the monotony of crisp sharp and DPC eye candy and the education. Maple Syrup. Well I never...
