Wonderful clarity and colour, crisp and detailed. The foliage is far too green for Southern Africa (now winter browns) so I'm guessing zoo? Still a 7.

Amazing birds now threatened in Africa due habitat destruction of the overpopulated and unnecessarily protected African elephant destroying vast tracts of bush and flattening trees where these birds breed.

I love to see birds photographed in at least a natural environment (hummer with flower not hummer with feeder or no feeder/flower at all), much more difficult and challenging. Great POV and good BG albeit with a fair bit of noise. Nice catchlight and very shallow DOF.

I know how hard it is to do BiF. The most frustrating part is that they always fly away from you. Kudos for sharpness and stop motion and an exposure which emphasises the detail in the feathers but the head/eye is dark and quartering away.
