U.S.S. Halsey Anchored Off Santa Barbaraby GermaineComment: Beware Home Security!
Good time of day to shoot this image. A bit of both caught, sunset and lights of the Naval vessel. It's oddly lit up like the Love Boat considering it's a military vessel! I like the other ships dotted in the BG. |

Harvey, I've never heard the word "chop" used thay way, but assuming it's an insult, well, back atcha.
|
You know what the say about assumption, it makes an ASS out of U and ME.
Locally the word chop or in it's native "Tjop" is more a term of endearment, almost like "silly nit". That's the problem with type, it has no tone of voice. In Australia the word or phrase "you silly/stupid bastard" is perhaps a bit stronger and could possibly be used in a derogatory way but often in a way that borders on affection or awe! would you believe. And yes, I grew up in Australia but dare not use that phrase in Africa for fear of getting walloped. So chop it was :P There are far better words in Afrikaans that could be used to be insulting, trust me.
Well done for fessing up. That's pretty unheard of. You have a right to naturally, there is a mechanism for all of us to do so and Allesandro took offence at the time. SC can't possibly have eyes everywhere.
Lesson learnt, schools out :)

Travelling Buddy by AmmieComment: Aaah the blossoms are out in the FS. I'm getting quite attached to your valley. Just the right spot to take the shot, with the light coming through to expose the puff of dust. Nice pal shot Amanda :P |

Cie La Coupoleby P-A-U-LComment: Fun shot, with the right moment captured. Candid photography at it's most rewarding. I just do not like the "HDR" then convert to BandW as it has a side effect that it makes the woman's arms appear manly, hairy and over muscley. |
