Fabulous shot Steven? I say that now because I think the hooded hiker is actually Rian :) Very unusual to see it in B&W and a risky choice. The composition is excellent.

Silently Restless

Silky smooth and classic Cuttooth. I like the composition. The time of day to capture this, get the tides right AND the light and some cloud all make this a very technically difficult shot. Some people have commented on my images that the technicals of my image are unimportant (when I post them under comments). On the contrary, especially scapes of any format take a lot of planning and technical photography skills. Notwithstanding that this is also a learning channel. Others like to know how to do this and sharing is caring. One nitpick is the horison (horizon) 'appears' CW by 1 degree due the shadows to the right. Optical illusion but it does feel off.

This is right up there.

Great BiF. Thanks to bright light you've used a very fast s/s and excellent contrast has allowed super crisp focus and details. The sky is blue which always adds a good appealing BG to such an image. I just don't like the square-ish crop. Would prefer more space to the left and less to the top.

Good framing and composition. I'd maybe have not included the stump and made it more minimalist with the horison and women only?
Showing reality in Africa. A bit more contrast needed. Lake Malawi? Not sure about hills there. Maybe Lake Tanganyika (Tanzania).
