beach tacosby bspurgeonComment: Really nice composition. I like how the palms frame the right side. Nice star flares off the lights. Even the swinging liter free zone sign tells a bit more of the story that you're really beachside. Nice lines. Well done. |

Early on the first day of Indian Summerby jimsappComment: Quality shot of the moon. I'm sure you're getting grief over the noise, but in a weird way I like how it adds texture to what would be an otherwise blank, black field for the rest of the photo. The detail in the moon itself is stellar. Pun kind of intended. |

before Dawnby whiterookComment: Nice shot of stars. And something's on fire, but not sure what. Has a cool something's about to hit earth feel to it, but needs a bit more I think. Not voting, just making lame comments. |

4:35 AMby dhumann1Comment: A technically perfect shot and creative arrangement. Lovely colors and a "How did they do that?" element as well. Will be interesting to see how it resonates with voters. Only critique I can make is that your choice of backdrop, be it paper or whatever, has a pattern to it that gives the impression on very first glance that the image is noisy. Of course it isn't, but you may want to think about that for your next setup. |

Moonlight Sonataby hahn23Comment: This is wonderful. Trails are a really nice, sharp, short length. Rest of the scene is perfect. Great exposure, great tones. Excellent photo. |

A Distant Mirageby krriish22Comment: Not sure on this one. Interesting stuff going on with the windows/mirror but not super exciting. And very grainy. |

Fall in for youby clictacameraComment: With a title like that two lovebirds on the bench would have been a nice touch. But regardless it's a very nice scene. I'll make a comment on processing only because I'm trying to improve my own. I might have played with levels a bit and run a simple de-noise program on this to make the colors a bit more sharp and contrasty. The exposure could be darker in my opinion, as the top of the bench is blown out a bit. A darker scene would have been a bit moodier... although with the bright leaves that probably wasn't your intention.
Of course I just advertised I don't know what I'm talking about, so maybe scrap all that. Not voting, just making dumb comments. |
