Storm Clouds by RianBotesComment: Truly awesome capture, great tones and excellent color. Composition couldn't have worked out better with the strikes. I'm not voting but that border is horrible in my opinion. Completely unnecessary with such a wonderful photo. I'll be shocked (seriously, no pun intended) if you don't grab a ribbon with this. |

Accumulationby jomariComment: Nicely spotted scene and the clouds certainly have got potential, but it seems a bit over-sharpened. Or something. The clouds just seem unnatural. Colors are great and the composition is as well. Not voting, just commenting. |

in-flight correctionby pointandshootComment: This is so eerily similar to my bike ride to work it's scary. Only difference is that there are fields on my right and the road is to the left of the line of trees. Same weather for the past two months as well. Cool shot. |

And a River Runs Through It...by PetRockComment: Great idea. I do have some criticisms though. I'm not voting, just popping around making comments. The wheel needs to be sharp. It dominates the frame and since it's out of focus it hurts the entire image. With the wheel in focus and a small aperture to maintain clarity in the river, this photo suddenly jumps from a good photo to an excellent scene.
I see the rock just beyond the hub is crystal sharp and likely where auto focus pinpointed. So either that was simply the center of the frame or you missed focusing on the hub by the smallest of margins.
The grate detracts a little as well, and maybe some creative composition could have helped a bit but it's not a big deal.
Overall a well spotted scene and a ton of potential, just slightly different execution. Of course I'm not a good photographer, so read this at your own risk. |

Vintage 1887by DennisheckmanComment: Super shot. Processed perfectly. I'm not a fan of vignetting but it seems to work well here, almost mimicking the wagon wheel. Crisp, great tones, certainly a vintage ride. Lighting worked out perfectly. The outhouse is almost too modern, but no complaints. Great entry. |
