The Beginning of a Cold Nightby MelonMusketeerComment: I get the sunset, but the trees are out of focus. Well, I like it, but I'm not voting so it doesn't matter.
I think you should crop this down. It'd be a good scene. |

Snowy Groyne by JimiRoseComment: Lovely photo. Excellent mood. Great contrast.
One of my favorites. Something about the focus makes it such a more interesting photo than if you had just done a traditional treatment. This is awesome. |

Polluted Horizonby pjotre7Comment: Great sky and a clever idea. My only complaints would be to show just a bit more foreground, as this seems like too harsh a crop. Also, and maybe this is my inexperience with editing speaking, but there seems to be some haloing around the foreground plants, possibly marking a mask between sharpened and blurred (noise reduction in clouds)? But it's still a nice one.

Headed towards the Horizonby cabaComment: Wonderful. Is this a ferry to Bainbridge? Just a wild guess, but it looks like it. I'd say PNW regardless. Portrait layout is ideal for this as there are so many layers to the sky and horizon and sound/water. I particularly like the midnight blue at the top in contrast with the orangish tint in the horizon. Complimentary colors DO work, even separated by an extremely interesting cloud layer. Excellent photo. |
