The Snowmanby karmatComment: Great idea. Clever. Very nice image, but... in my opinion I don't think the shallow depth of field helped you here. The snow (or white foam that represents snow) is enough of a fade off into the sunset effect that I'd like all the coal and the carrot to be in focus. I'd certainly like more detail and contrast within the carrot itself.
Still a very nice image and, again, very creative. |

Christmas Pastby scarbrdComment: I have to say this is the most outstanding framing of a cardboard box I have ever seen. To be this tightly cropped and remain 100% within the frame is remarkable. I must own crappy cardboard boxes.
That said, this is an annual mental image a lot of us share, and this is an excellent portrayal of it. Great for the challenge as well. |

Ceiling Mosaicby tomeComment: Just awesome. What a photograph. Lines and patterns and rays and cubes and all the geometric shapes in all the most pleasing tones. Killer. |

Bits & Pieces Stuck to my Backby JarHeadComment: Horseshoecrab carried a heavy load. Well spotted and great entry. I would like more drama, though. Maybe a bit of the sea or some beach or dunes, so we can get some perspective on where this sad soul lost his way. Just how far off course is he? But it's a good one regardless. |

Riveting by Yo_SpiffComment: Outstanding image. So sharp and smooth and interestingly composed. Great display of the challenge theme. An eye-catcher from thumb to full-size. Nice one. |

ST100367026by hahn23Comment: I like it. I cannot leave straight lines alone and would have squared off all the perpendicular lines, but it's not bothering me. Good take. |
