Why is the head of the nail showing here? Shouldn't it be under the head of the hammer?
I think that gives away the illusion you were trying to create of the hammer stirking the nail in your set-up shot.

Looks like your background material is a little out of alignment. I can see the edges of each piece of foam, plus the upper right corner is out of alignment.

An overall light source is needed for the background along with a light directly on the subject to get good highlights and a black background.

Color is a little flat.
