So 78th pplace huh?? You were hosed by the DPC community. This was so much better than many of the photos here. The only thing I can see is that maybe it needs some color correction by changing the white balance temperature. I gave it a 10!

This is sooo much better than the score you got... People are trained on this site to say noise is bad, soft focus is bad... etc. This is a great shot for anyone looking to hire a portrait photographer.

Nice find... The whole photo has a blue cast to it suggesting an incorrect white balance setting.

It looks like you used a real shallow depth of field to blur out the bckground, but it served to shorten up your focal length for the plane of focus your subject was on causing the bottom leaf to be oof as well. It was a good use of selective focus, but I'd like to see that one plane of focus be all in focus.

You have a great photo here, but the white sky kind of blows. It really sucks when we only have so much time to get the shot and we have to work with the elements as they are presented. You did very well with the color and exposure here... I also like the perspective shot from. Perhaps with the white sky, it would be better to frame the photo so it is mostly cropped out.
