I think it has a little too much contrast, but other than that, it is really great. The red and yellow really pop!

With the DoF, it does look like the orange pencil tip is casting a complimentary blue shadow, which is quite interesting. But I just have to question, did you study further to determine if a shallow DoF worked best here? Did you shoot with a small aperture to see what the difference was? At any rate, this is a very creative concept. (Was this a complimentary comment or a backhanded critique?? I meant what I said to be complimentary!!)

A straight line of berries would have worked also. The tail or curve doesn't seem to be leading me anywhere. Nice shadow and light, good color. Neat idea.
