Nice use of impressionism to produce the minimalism in the landscape. Everything has been narrowed down to shape and tone and light. It is no a B&W so it is lacking slightly in color but all the other elements are their.

A beautiful landscape scene and well shot. I just feel you missed on the minimalism aspect of the challenge.

You have the landscape portion down well. Good use of shutter speed to show the movement of the water. Nice exposure for the light, very evenly lit. I feel you missed on the minimalism. Minimalist landscapes ought to show wide open spaces and typically use negative space as a compositional tool.

I love this for it's impressionism. The blur and the movement is really dynamic. I think it missed slightly on the minimalism aspect... but only slightly.

That lean is great! Was it actually a windy day? If so I wonder if you could have used a slower shutter speed to show the movement in the grass. That would have added a terrific element to the exposure. But I am voting on what is and not what could have been. Love the blueish grey tones. Very good depth of shadow and light shown. Also the vignetting adds to the scene in my opinion.

I wonder if you could have recomposed to put the subject in the right hand third of the image. I see the mountain range in the background on the left with the tip of the branch pointing right to it. It might have made for a stronger composition. Everything else was done well. I don't mind that this appears a hair dark.

You have photographed a hidden gem of a landscape. It seems to take me back in time to a point when the creation was largely uninhabited. It is definitely a found spot. My interpretation of a minimalist landscape is to show a photograph of a largely uncluttered space to show it's openness. It's major compositional element is the use of negative space to create a focus point on the subject. Here the subject is a definite closed space. I love the photo, but it is not really minimalist.

This is so much like the album cover for Evil Empire by Rage Against the Machine.

Waaay to tough to expose for with the extreme lighting situation. And sure enough you blew out the foreground to get the darkness inside the door.

This would have worked much better had the person been a more prominent part of the image. Bresson inserted himself into the scene through his camera in my opinion. This gives me the feeling the photographer is sneaking up on the person in some way.
