Calendar worthy composition!! This is showing up a little dark on my screen. Perhaps brightening it up a bit would help it to pop a bit more! It is tough with such a contrast between the dog and the leaves.

Very good shot. I am sure it looks awesome at full resolution. Question: How did you get everything in focuse using f3.5? I saw you used the same aperture on another shot too and it looks nice and focused to infinity. Is it a misprint or are you doing something special with your technique?

I am viewing on the IPhone so what I see is a nice sharp image with good color and a good composition using the diagonal line of the tree limb to create interest. Nicely done.

Are you trying to go all DPC friendly on us here??? Lol!! Lovely use of the X for composition... Nice tones in the B&W. You did keep that vein of originality because it's not often one sees a book reflected in water!

I like how the photographer has used the blur of the plastic optic to help reduce this shot to a basic shape and it's surrounding tones. The grain is great in my eyes. It adds texture and ambiance to a winter beach shot!

I am liking this little project of yours. Underfoot! In this shot, I like the textures formed in the ice and the golden colors of the winter foliage with the darkened ground underneath. This shot also has a nice story behind it.

I just recently got a book full of photo projects for christmas. In it, there was a creative project to freeze some fall or winter foliage in your freezer using a casserole dish, then take it outside to shoot some macros. The guy used the 100mm macro lens and his shots turned out something much like this! So, if you had marketed this idea first, you could be enjoying some book royalties right now! I'm just sayin'...

Maybe you can publish a coffee table book full of your underfoot shots with all the stories!

The lighting really has a great film noir feel to it. The shot needs some people at the bottom of the stairs acting out a scene to feel more complete.
