My mother by lei_73Comment: Congratulations. Nicely done. I like the touch of detail visible in the silhouetted mother. |

Good Morning, Sunshine!by Bear_MusicComment: Ha, so that's what you were up to while I was on the other side of the bridge shooting the clouds! A morning outing that yielded us each a 4th place finish. Congrats sweetie! |

• r e f l e c t i n g • by Ja-9Comment: I love the initial ambiguity of orientation that resolves when your eye moves over to the upper right. Perfect for this challenge. Congratulations on the ribbon. |

Went to mowby PaulComment: Ha! Takes me back to childhood and long family car rides when we would sing "One man and his dog ..." and other songs, to pass the time! Great B&W contrast. |

"...for every tatter in its mortal dress."by Bear_MusicComment: What this image actually shows is Robert's attentiveness! I had been working for about 4 hours on a hot afternoon cutting down and digging up shrubs and moving a bunch of plants to make room for a shed we are getting. Robert's poor balance (related to the same issue as his hearing loss) makes doing things that requires bending over a problem for him so he cooks and I do the yard work! Anyhow after he saw how hot and tired I was he went and got damp paper towels and wrapped them around my head to help me cool off!! Of course, being Robert he then saw a photographic opportunity. So yes, they were paper towels, but it wasn't as if he set out to stage it that way for the challenge shot. |
