Caitlynby Yo_SpiffComment: I love the intensity (of her feeling of connection to you I suspect) and the openness that show in her eyes. Those are what "grab" me when I look at this. |

Comfortable shoesby MelethiaComment: Lovely image and I second Love's love comments about the colors. He looks so relaxed but the "set" of his ears seem to suggest that he is still very much alert to all that is going on around him! |

Emergency toolby Rino63Comment: Took me a while to realize this was a walnut! The title refers to the wrench, however, it's the walnut that really dominates the image. Maybe use of side lighting rather than overhead lighting would have shifted attention onto both, provided there was sufficient DOF. |

Classic vs. Modernby jovan91Comment: An interesting subject but I find the tilting of the stone building and the glare from the road rather distracting. |

Fieldbound Skiffby Bear_MusicComment: Lovely textures on the boat! I like how the yellow/orange hue in some of the grasses is picked up on the boat in the areas of rust/decay. Also the brightness of the boat against a dark sky. Great perspective. Abstaining from voting. |

Bobandduque.jpgby sfmorrisComment: Originally posted by sfmorris: Originally posted by JuliBoc: Oh my, this is nice. Did you have to create the reflection, or did Flood do that automatically? I haven't used Simplify, so I'm not familiar with Buzz, but the effects of what you did are lovely. |
Thanks Juli the Flood filter does all the work. I did burn around the edges to give it a more relistic look. The Buzz is what gives it the painted look. I love both filters. |
Nice image. I like it, but the above information explains the *brightness* of the reflection which was puzzling me. In my experience there is usually sufficient color in the water to darken the reflection at least somewhat. |

Observation deckby MelethiaComment: Deb, I love what you have done with this, bringing out the textures and details. To my eye the processing really helps separate the four figures in the foreground from the other figures. I like how the yellow knitted hat/beret really *pops* against the overcast sky and the woman's dark hair in this version. I also like the shallow *arc* formed if you follow the tops of the heads of the four people in the foreground, up and then down, and how this echos the arcs formed by the shape of the setting. |

Breaking Freeby BalkoComment: I love it, somehow it's both calming yet stimulating at the same time! |

Winter evening light by PenelopeKComment: Originally posted by Yo_Spiff: I think I am a little more partial to this version without the levels. The detail of the trees does not show as much, but I really love the sunset tones on the snow. |
Thanks Yo_Spiff. I meant to indicate that I would like comments about which version people preferred. You and Bear_Music are of like mind in preferring this one. After I posted I was thinking I should try something in between the two!! |
