My lens is bigger than YOUR lens!by arbcqueenComment: hahaha, funny, but for the challenge it's a stretch, i think. oh well. technical -- overall, the photo needs to be a little more sharp and crisp, i think. composition -- your subject is centered in the middle, the two guys' heads are cut off by it and there's a lot of stuff going on in the background ... it's hard to take these kind of shots where you can't control the environment, i know. -- gr8photos. |

Milk Chocolate in Bloomby PaigeComment: challenge -- met, fitting title technical -- nice sharpness, the stamen are just a little bit too bright in some places, but not too distracting. composition -- nice crop on the flower. not sure why you changed the colors that way, but i guess i could get used to it ... may have to look at it a few more times. -- gr8photos |

Her Guitarby Pep VentosaComment: challenge -- met technical -- used the DOF that most digital cameras allow in macro mode well. wish there was a little more of it anyway. the lighting is a little uneven, i'm not sure whether you intended that or not. composition -- symmetry works well here. great unusual look at a guitar. well done. -- gr8photos |

Insideby KonadorComment: is this the colinder we've seen before? if yes, i still like it. nice shot, just the right combination between abstract and recognizable. :) challenge -- met technical -- very well done. great DOF, especially for such a close-up. the reflections add to the shot, as does the blue cast. composition -- great use of ROT. -- gr8photos |

Legend or Not?by indigo997Comment: challenge -- met. blair witch is just a legend though. ;) technical -- good. b&w works. i wish you'd shot this from a slightly higher angle so that the top of the stick figure was before a darker background, too. composition -- ok. -- gr8photos |

No submission because cameras steal soulsby ClubJuggleComment: you are raising a deep philosophical question here ... you say you didn't submit a photo because they steal souls, but then the admin note says this is indeed a digital photo. did you steal your lens cap's soul? does a lens cap have one? how can you live with yourself? :) -- gr8photos |

A Tricky Treatby alanfreedComment: ouch!! challenge -- met technical -- nice sharp focus and just little reflection, good. like the color of the apple. would like to see the background in white to make the apple pop just a little more. composition -- also well done. -- gr8photos |

Make a wishby ParentxComment: challenge -- met technical -- quite a contrast difference on the bone. maybe try a reflector on the right so that the bottom and top right are illuminated a bit more. i do like that the bone isn't blown out in places which is easy to do. composition -- good use of negative space. -- gr8photos. |

Elvis Lives!by chakkobboComment: that's not a legend, that's the truth! ;) challenge -- met technical -- for what's obviously a candid shot, you did very well. the framing is good, the lights in the background are not great, but not too obtrusive and unavoidable. composition -- you captured just the right moment, both facial expressions are priceless, as is the handshake. couldn't you have told elvis to put down that cheap boombox though? ;) nice entry -- gr8photos. |

The Dead Brideby iron maidenComment: challenge -- met technical -- slight pixelation, lighting a little uneven (light at the bottom of the photo). otherwise fine. composition -- i like the mask, and the mouse is a nice touch. i think you could have controlled your background a little more. take the picture in front of a plain wall or hang up a large piece of plain cloth as a backdrop. the door frame and hinge is distracting and your photo isn't quite level (something that wouldn't be noticable with a plain blackdrop). -- gr8photos |
