She LEFT by edmengComment: I am not voting, unfortunately, I don't have time to go through the whole challenge. But I was curious to see the submissions and yours is just fantastic. I love the selected desat, the light and shadow play and the hues of the walls and door. Not to mention the story the image tells. I hope you place high in the challenge! :) |

sleeping lesser flamingoby ArpeggioAngelComment: Stunning. Love the colors and how you filled the frame. I would clone out that hint of pink that's poking into the frame on the top right (or even just desaturate) so nothing distracts away from your flamingo. |

...almost a Roseby AzCKellyComment: Wonderful tones! I suspect that this was a rather monochromatic image to start with? I think those work best for duotone. You have a superb tonal range here, and the black background sets the flower off well. I wish there wasn't that shadow on the flower (more diffused lighting?) and the position in the frame doesn't feel 100% comfortable but to be honest I couldn't suggest anything better. Lovely work overall. |

Of sea and skyby rapidComment: Blue tones work well here. I like the clouds in the sky that add much interest to the image, however, the sky seems a little pixelated or blotchy. On checking your file size, it is quite small (30k) when you could use up to 150k. Resizing with a higher quality setting would probably easily fix this. |

Daydreamby smr78Comment: Beautiful. Loe the DOF, the wonderful focus on her eye (great detail) and the look. The reflection just sets it off really well. The zigzag on the material or whatever it is in the background is a bit distracting (especially in the reflection), but this is still a fantastic shot that lends itself well for duotone. |

Castle in Brown and Blackby bvoiComment: Very cool castle. Like the architecture and the colors you chose to tone it. The blown-out clouds in the background are a bit distracting, but, other than go to take the photo at some other time, there's not much you can do about that in a basic editing challenge. :) |

Flatlandby MadMan2kComment: Gee, that looks scary. Kids ;) Really like the shot, great panning, nice tonal range. Wonder though what this would look like in color. Better or worse? Hard to tell without the comparison. |

Dragonwoodby dhumann1Comment: Nice piece of wood, amazing what nature can sculpture :) Very nice lighting and even background, just at the top, a little bit of blow out. |
