Very nice. Reflection makes the image. Some dust is highlighted on the board (don't you wish it was advanced editing? And if you could've shielded the pawn to the right even more from the light it would have been perfect. As it is, I still like it very much!

Love it. Not quite a silhouette, since there's discernable detail, but yet enough in the shadow to leave a lot to the imagination. If it was an advanced editing challenge, I would edit out the one line above the neck (you maybe would've, too). Great work!

While it certainly looks as if you used a single lightsource for the image, I don't think it adds drama, or is even an improvement for the image. Some more even lighting and lack of shadow would be better, IMO. I do like the arrangement and colors, and the background you used, it's not very typical for this kind of shot but it adds even more texture. ... reminds me that it's almost about time to make supper :)

Great concept. Two things I don't like about the execution (remember, this is just my opinion, you don't have to agree with me). Center doesn't work for me here, I would crop some off the right-hand side. It seems to me the hand is more in focus than the baby's face, I'd prefer the face in focus. B&w looks well here.
