Feeling the Soul of Jazzby TomNTexasComment: b&w works well here, i like the subject, blurred background is also good, just the bow straight through the face is distracting. of course, i don't know the circumstances of the shot, was there a way to move around a little to the left? -- gr8photos (6) |

passing thoughtsby heartsdivideComment: there's a little pixelation visible, this is likely due to your very small file size (17k). try and use more of the allowed 150k. check out the tutorials (or PM me) if you need help. i like the composition with the note book only partially in the shot, and b&w is probably not a bad idea here, however, your shot is gray on gray. the pages should be white and you need more contrast. play with the levels in your photo processing software, even just using 'auto levels' makes a huge difference. -- gr8photos (4) |

Early Riserby lmhrComment: while there's nothing wrong technically with this shot, it's just not too exciting for me. the moon is rather small in comparison to the rest of the shot (yes, i do realize that the moon is a looong way away from earth) and therefore is easily lost. even though the clouds frame it nicely. -- gr8photos (4) |

Dock at Twilightby bdshortComment: i really like these kind of shots, the pier on the left with the poles is great, too. the cut-off life-saver on the right bothers me though, i tried recropping this photo to 640x427 (the other allowed format on this site) and liked it much better. just something to consider ... -- gr8photos (6) |

Relaxingby g04tComment: IMO, the sun totally overpowers the rest of the picture and makes it hard to concentrate on anything else that's there. -- gr8photos (3) |

Looking Outsideby rondajewelComment: i bet this was a hard one to take, the contrast between the bright sunshine outside and the boy inside is a lot, and camera's have a hard time handling that. i like the concept of the photo, but i think i would like to see it taken when it's not so bright outside or there's more light inside so i can make out the boy a little more. picture also seems a tad soft. -- gr8photos (4) |

\by Denise CataniaComment: very cool shot. how would it have looked in portrait format? maybe better, maybe not. it's in my top10 this week anyway. -- gr8photos (9) |

Sunrise Lightby sweetk1685Comment: nice sunrise. the sillhouette of something less busy than all the branches would've been preferrable to me, but there may not have been anything around. i like the lamppost, however, it does show that your horizon isn't quite level because the post is slightly leaving to the left. -- gr8photos (5) |

Bear!by janfriesComment: where did you find a bear for this challenge??? i feel that the picture is cropped too closely to his feet, but then i don't know what was there. he's also not quite in focus and would be more scary if he looked at the camera (i know, probably mission impossible under the circumstances ...) -- gr8photos (3) |
