Alone in the woodby jonwamComment: I like the composition, with two trees "growing out of" the ends of the sofa and trees at either side to provide a natural frame. The tall format helps emphasize the insignificance of the sofa, although it is clearly the center of initerest here with its contrasting colors. |

Girl at the Seashoreby coolharComment: She looks like she's having fun and the vast expanse of empty beach suggests she's alone. That says solitude to me! Good lighting; the long thing shadow is intriguing. But I especially like the unusual point of view, from over the water. Very creative. |

Fading Memory of Summerby OneSweetSinComment: The flower is well past its prime, yet still visually interesting, and the interest is enhanced by desaturating the other colors in the image. Great composition, focus, and lighting. But I don't really get a feeling of loneliness or solitude. |
