Urban Still (Boring) Lifeby glimpsesComment: The arrangement of the fruit is nicely done and I like their mottled coloring. The diagonal striped background is too much when viewed close-up, but fortunately my wife distracted me while making this comment so I saw the photo from further away; then the lines blend together and somehow gives the image a lot of depth. |

Lemon Freshby GrandmomComment: The miniature pitcher in front of the large bowl of lemons give this image a subtly surrealistic feeling. The lemonade is unnaturally yellow, which adds to the effect. |

Life being still and beautiful....by dlewerComment: Leafy sea dragons are amazing creatures. Great composition. I don't mind the tail being blurred, but the focus on the head and body is too soft; some sharpening would help. Although this is a great photo, it is a "still" life, not a "still life" (you're not the only one that misinterpreted the challenge like this). |
