lighthouseby slonkoComment: The lighthouse plays only a minor role here; this is a photograph of the beach. A wonderful and dramatic one! Nice tonal range and great composition. |

Mendenhall Glacierby Brooklyn513Comment: The center of focus is the lake, which is nice but not nearly as magnificant as the glacier, which unfortunately takes a background role in this photo. |

Tee off viewby darixComment: Nice composition of a beautiful view. Although it is OK like this, I think a split second sooner would have made a more intriguing photo. |

Butterfly Huntby Patents4uComment: This image exudes a wonderful atmosphere; I love it! The net nicely balances the centered composition. I'm guessing the background grass was smudged or blurred, an appropriate treatment that works very well here. |

The Port is on Fireby aznymComment: A lot of nice contrasts here: colorful angular cranes and gray billowy smoke, order vs chaos. The seagulls are well place and add a nice touch. |

Shine Onby jmsetzlerComment: The colorful "painted" sky and sun make a marvelous background for this silhouette. The horse's tail is a bit strange here; if it was swishing then just a second sooner or later might have made a stronger shot. |

eagle owlby AngelisComment: There is a color cast and it could use some sharpening, but otherwise a great photo; good composition, nicely blurred background, and a wonderful pose. |

Perchedby LegatoMuzicComment: An attractive bird, nicely composed, focus is a bit soft, background is great, overcompressed. |

In the Desertby turdaveComment: Very interesting subject captured with nice detail. A lower point of view (kneel on the hot sand!) would have avoided the left side getting lost in the horizon. I think it would work better in straight black and white, or at least a less saturated color. |
