New Family Trend: Feeding Baby (2 months)by KoriyamaComment: The high key exposure and soft focus are appropriate for this photograph. The exposure of the face is great; you can still make out the nose and cheeks. But the bottom part of the image is too over-exposed; you can't make out the mother's fingers and the baby's hair is washed out. |

Wanda's Rainbowby StewanComment: Nice use of color. The well-controlled motion blur makes the image more dynamic. |

Green = Stress ;o) [Mood Rings; back & better]by TwocentzComment: I like your composition. The soft focus on the back of the ring shows what it is without distracting from the \"mood\" part. The light (and seemingly doubled) reflection adds interest. And it is surrounded by just the right amount of white space. |

My PET ROCK is bigger than yours!by r_sandlerComment: You're right; it is bigger than mine. But that's OK; I prefer the smaller ones; they're easier to pet. The clouds add interest to this image without unduly distracting from the subject. The strong side lighting brings out the texture of the rock, but also casts a shadow that hides part of the rock. If I were photographing my pet rock I'd just turn it a bit to get the lighting right! But your's is probably too big. |

a photographic trend: flowersby watermelon_junkieComment: Photographing flowers does seem to be trendy. The high contrast on this one gives it an appearance suggestive of a chinese painting (where flowers have always been a favorite subject). I like it. |

A growing trend. by DiversqComment: Nice control over the depth of field here. The background is a bit distracting, but its soft focus helps direct the viewer's attention back to the subjects. |

going digital...find pairsby rhipsterComment: The trends images here aren't from a single decate, but it was fun anyway. Your technique is outstanding; capturing such a wide range of values from very black to very white is difficult. I like the spash of color from the CDR on the left. Did you have to do anything special to get the images in the negative strip to show? |

bell bottoms by grigrigirlComment: Great portrait. I like the way she is posed. The lighting is perhaps a bit strong, but I like the angle. Cutting off the top of someone's head is a tricky compositional choice, but I think it works here to help balance the image, keeping it from being bottom-heavy. |
