"Right Angle Hermione" Harry Potter's friend built from lego blocks.

Comment:
This photo certainly meets the challenge; it's made almost exclusively of right angles, although most are in shapes whose "blockness" is much stronger than the "right-angleness". The depth of field is nice; the background is blurred just enough to keep the designs on the boxed Lego sets from being too distracting while keeping the larger Lego logos readable. But the lighting makes the Hermione model look rather flat; the impressive 3-D structure of the model is not conveyed in the photo. And the title is too long; the fact she is made from Lego blocks is evident from the photo itself and the gratuitous use of "Right Angle" doesn't carry much meaning outside of the challenge.

Is this the right angle Daddy?

Comment:
The strength of this photo comes from the girl and the object she is holding, not the fact that that object contains a couple of right angles. (The image would be just as strong if she was holding, say, a french curve.) The objects on the right side of the photo compete with the subject and should be cropped out. The glare on the girl's chest is a bit distracting, but I like the way the lighting is arranged to put the shadow just the right place.

Comment:
There isn't much here to hold a viewer's attention. Clocks are very common, and there isn't anything special about this view of one. The scratches and smudges are non-descript and the time 3:00:45 has no particular significance outside the challenge.

Just the right amount of motion blur here. It would have been nice if the man's hair could be distinguished from the background, although the lighting may have been beyond your control. I don't care for the gratuitous use of "right angles" in the title, and the borders detract rather than add to this photo.

I like the contrasts here, both of the materials and the pointed vs rounded right angles. The lighting and depth of field emphasize the three dimensionality of the subject, although as a viewer, I wish all the metal cubes were in better focus. The cubes embedded at an angle add interest, as do the imperfections in the surfaces. The cloth surface the cubes are sitting on doesn't really match the rest of the photo; a flat surface may have worked better.

An interesting variation from a typical silhouette, showing depth by controlling focus. Getting part of the web to show was probably difficult, and is essential to making this photo work. There are some incidental right angles, but they aren't what gives this image strength.

Some of the angles these acrobats make aren't quite 90 degrees, but they're close enough. You did a nice job of catching their act. The slight motion blur of the top person's legs is a nice touch. The lighting is harsh, but there's not much to be done about that California sun!

Comment:
I like the tall format and the way the vines interrupt the edges so the right angles have their own identity instead of being lost in the stronger concept of squares. The white walls and pickets may be a bit bright, but toning them down would either reduce contrast or shadow details, both of which are good, so you probably made the right choice.

The challenge was to make an image using right angles, not an image depicting a right angle. The ornate decorations draw attention away from the subjects in this image. Perhaps that's what you intended, but it is distracting to me. The subjects could use a bit of sharpening, but I don't know how that would affect the rest of the image.

Interesting pattern, but I don't really understand the title. And I can't find any right angles at all. I think you are trying to make the photo say something, but I'm afraid it doesn't convey your message very well. Sorry.
